Here is the LA MLB FoodFest Menu

April 23, 2019
After a successful inaugural event last year in New York, the MLB FoodFest is finally coming to Los Angeles! The MLB decided to expand the event holding it in 3 different markets this year-—in addition to New York, it will be held in Los Angeles and London. Dates for New York and London have yet to be announced, but the LA one is fast approaching and we will definitely be there.

Now, what is the MLB FoodFest, you ask? Exactly what it sounds like. A festival of food from different MLB teams! The MLB FoodFest takes ballpark food out of the ballpark and to the masses, bringing it to both fans of baseball and those who might not dig baseball but definitely love food, all under one roof.

The Arizona Diamondbacks’ Churro Dog

Each of the 30 major league clubs selected one of its signature ballpark food items, be it the most popular, most delicious, or most inventive, to represent their respective team at the MLB FoodFest. There are also 3 international entries from Mexico, London, and Tokyo, for a total of 33 different dishes to try.

The menu features regional favorites such as lobster rolls (Boston) and cheesesteaks (Philadelphia) and ore playful entries, including toasted grasshoppers (Seattle) and churro dog (Arizona). Our own Dodger Stadium’s entry is their sisig fries, a Philipino-inspired dish featuring fries smothered in marinated chicken, Fresno chiles, fried yams, Sriracha, and cilantro crema, pictured below:

Our neighbors, the Angels, sent their kung pao chicken drumstick, an Asian-inspired dish featuring a chicken drumstick marinated in a sweet and spicy glaze, cashews, and scallions. Here is the full menu:

Seattle Mariners’ Toasted Grasshoppers

We’ll def be there this weekend stuffing our faces with all the things, with the notable exception of Rocky Mountain Oysters and Toasted Grasshoppers. Listen, even we have our limits, and tbh, Bren’s only particularly looking forward to the churro dog). You can live vicariously through us and watch us plow through a bunch of ballpark food on social, or you can grab a pair of tix yourself and live out your ballpark food fantasies in realtime.

The MLB FoodFest takes place Friday, April 26th through Sunday, April 28th, at the Magic Box event space in DTLA. Standard tickets costs $45, which comes with your choice of eight food samples, while a VIP ticket runs $75 and offers 33 food samples, so you can actually try every single menu item if you’re so inclined. All menu items at the FoodFest are sample sized, so be aware of that when planning your ticket purchase, and all ticket entries are timed for 2 hours. There are also tickets with beer purchases attached, if you can somehow find room for all that food AND beer. We believe in you.
